An unlimited word game, for when one word a day is not enough
The daily word is over in a few minutes, and sometimes you want another round straight away. Pinteza keeps one shared Daily for everyone, and gives you two ways to keep going: Practice, with as many words as you like at the length you choose, and Sprint, three words against a three-minute clock.
Keep playing after the Daily
Pinteza is out now on Google Play for Android phones and tablets. Free, no ads, no account. iPhone and iPad come later.
Get it on Google PlayWhy there is only one Daily
The Daily is the same word for everyone in your edition, once a day. That is what makes it worth comparing with friends, and why a streak means something. Playing it twice would break both, so the Daily stays at one. Everything else is open.
Practice: unlimited words, your length
In Practice you choose the word length, five, six or seven letters, and play as many words as you like, whenever you like. It is the same game as the Daily: green for the right letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter in the word but elsewhere, grey for a letter that is not in it. Five and six letter words give you six tries, seven letter words give you seven.
Practice is also the best way to get better. If six and seven letter days catch you out, play a run of six or seven letter words in Practice until the longer shapes feel natural. Our guide to 6 and 7 letter words has the strategy, and the best starting words page has openers for each length.
Sprint: three words against the clock
Sprint is for when you want pressure. You get three words in a row, five letters, then six, then seven, under one shared three-minute clock. Solve a word and the next one starts straight away with the time you have left. Run out of rows on a word, or out of time, and the run ends. A quick Sprint fits in a coffee break and is a good warm-up before the Daily.
Does Practice count for my streak?
No. Your streak counts Daily wins, one per day, so it cannot be inflated by playing more. Practice and Sprint have their own scores and stats, and the words you solve in them still go into your Collection with their meaning and rarity.
More ways to play
There are two more modes once you have had your fill of Practice: Chaos, a weekly rule twist, and Duo, a live duel against a friend on the same word.
Never run out of words
