A word game with no ads, and what that actually means
A lot of free word games pay for themselves with ads: a video between rounds, a banner over the keyboard, an extra guess if you sit through thirty seconds of something else. Pinteza has none of that. Here is what no ads covers, how the game is free, what the one optional purchase buys, and the main data it collects (the full list is in the privacy policy), so you can judge it for yourself.
Play without the interruptions
Pinteza is out now on Google Play for Android phones and tablets. Free, no ads, no account. iPhone and iPad come later.
Get it on Google PlayNo ads, for anyone
There are no banners, no videos between rounds, and no watching an ad for a hint or an extra guess. That holds for every player, whether you buy anything or not. The optional purchase is not an ad remover, because there is nothing to remove. The game does not collect an advertising ID either, so there is no ad profile being built in the background.
It matters more in a word game than in most. A daily puzzle is a one-minute ritual, and an ad in the middle of it breaks the only thing it is for. Watch-to-continue mechanics are worse: they quietly make the daily unequal, because one person's sixth guess was earned and another's was bought with their attention. In Pinteza everyone plays the same daily word on the same terms.
No account
You open the app and play. There is no sign-up, no email and no password. Your streaks, scores, achievements and word collection live on your phone, and on Android your phone's own backup to your Google account can bring them back after a reinstall or on a new phone. That backup is yours, controlled from your device settings, and it never passes through us.
Some features need a way to tell two phones apart, so the game creates an anonymous, random player ID the first time you finish a Daily or Chaos puzzle or open Duo. It is not your name and it is not tied to who you are.
Free, with one optional purchase
All five modes are free: the Daily (a word of five, six or seven letters, the same for everyone), Practice, Sprint (three words in 3:00), Chaos (a rule twist that changes every week) and Duo, where you race a friend on the same word. They stay exactly as free whether or not you ever pay.
The in-game coins are earned by playing, and that is the only way to get them. You cannot buy coins.
The one thing to buy is Pinteza Plus: a single payment, once. It is not a subscription, so nothing renews and nothing expires. Plus unlocks the Anthology, a campaign of 200 hand-picked puzzles in 20 volumes, made for your edition. The first three puzzles of Volume I are open to everyone, so you can try it before deciding. Anyone who buys by 31 December 2026 also gets the Founder set of cosmetics. Plus gives no help in the Daily: no extra guesses, no hints, no better standing. Google Play shows you the price in your currency before you confirm; we do not publish one.
What the game does collect
No ads does not mean no data, and a page like this should say so plainly. In short, from our privacy policy:
- Usage events through Firebase Analytics, such as app opens, games started and finished, and progress like streaks. They are pseudonymous: tied to an app-instance identifier, never to your name, email or an advertising ID.
- Crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics, so bugs can be found and fixed.
- A short summary of each finished Daily or Chaos game: which puzzle, the language, the word length, whether you solved it, how many guesses, how long it took and your score. That is how the end screen can tell you how you did against everyone else. It never includes your guesses or the answer, each result is deleted after 90 days, and you can delete yours sooner from Settings, Data & Backup.
- Duo boards: in a duel, your guesses are saved with the match so your opponent can see your board once the duel is decided.
- Purchases. A purchase service starts with the game and gives each install a random ID, so it can tell the game whether you own Plus. If you buy Plus it also holds the store receipt. Google Play takes the payment and we never see your card.
- How you found us: on Android the game reads the Google Play install referrer once, which is also how a Duo invite code survives the install.
Two extras are off unless you switch them on yourself: detailed usage statistics, in Settings, Data & Backup, and optional streak tips sent as notifications. The daily reminders are scheduled by the app on your own phone. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used to follow you across other apps or websites.
Most of it works offline
Practice, Sprint and Chaos play without a connection, and your collection lives on your device. The daily word loads fresh each day, and Duo needs a live connection because there is someone on the other end.

Is Pinteza really free?
Yes. All five modes, Daily, Practice, Sprint, Chaos and Duo, are free with no account. The only purchase is Pinteza Plus, one optional one-time payment that unlocks the Anthology: 200 hand-picked puzzles in 20 volumes, with the first three free to try.
Do I need an account?
No. You open it and play. Your progress is saved on your phone, and on Android your phone's own backup can bring it back after a reinstall.
What data does it collect?
Pseudonymous usage events and crash reports, plus a short summary of each finished Daily or Chaos game so you can see how you compare. That summary never includes your guesses and is deleted after 90 days. There is no advertising ID and nothing is sold. The privacy policy has the full list.
